7 Unusual Ways to Get Your Daily CBD

7 Unusual Ways to Get Your Daily CBD

If you’re used to getting your cannabidiol (CBD) from oils, tinctures, capsules, and creams, you should know there are other ways to get your daily dose of CBD. If you’re just taking it daily without any specific reason, your delivery method probably doesn’t matter. However, if you’re taking CBD for a specific purpose, your chosen delivery method can have a significant impact on your results.

Whether you’re looking for a more effective delivery method or you’re just curious, here are seven unusual ways you can get your daily CBD.

1. CBD Suppositories

You might not be that surprised to learn that you can get CBD suppositories. Suppositories are a common way to deliver medications, so it makes sense that someone would make a suppository for CBD.

2. CBD personal lubricants

Similar to a CBD suppository, some companies make CBD personal lubricants. These lubricants will absorb quickly into the body and will deliver a full dose of CBD directly into the bloodstream.

3. CBD cigarettes

CBD herbal cigarettes are tobacco-free and contain only smokable hemp. Reputable companies make their CBD cigarettes with hemp strains high in CBD. Smoking CBD is the fastest way to get it into your system while bypassing the digestive tract, where you’d normally lose a portion of the CBD anyway.

While there can be up to 0.3% THC in any legal hemp product, it’s not enough to get you high. However, you would probably fail a drug test.

If you’re looking for a way to get CBD into your body quickly and in large quantities, stick with suppositories or capsules. However, if you want an alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes and you want the benefits of CBD, then hemp cigarettes are a great option.

4. CBD powder or crystals

CBD crystals – or powder made from crystals – is isolated CBD. Normally, isolated CBD isn’t a good option because it doesn’t work as well as full spectrum products.

For CBD isolate to work, you need to consume large quantities. That’s easy to do with CBD crystals and powder because it’s generally smoked. When you smoke pure CBD, you’re getting more than if you were to swallow a capsule.

5. CBD herbal teas

Among all the herbal teas that will relax you, CBD tea takes center stage. If you’ve tried everything from chamomile to mint and you don’t feel a difference, CBD will change that for you.

The best way to consume CBD tea is to prepare your cup with hot water, add your tea bag, and add a little bit of your favorite CBD tincture or oil. If you don’t have any CBD tea on hand, you just add a few drops of your CBD tincture to your favorite relaxing tea.

6. CBD-infused clothing

Jumping on the CBD bandwagon, clothing manufacturers have started launching CBD-infused clothing lines. Some claim their clothing delivers CBD to the body in areas that might need pain relief, like knees and elbows. Other clothing items are less targeted, like shirts and workout pants.

In 2019, Allure tested CBD-infused clothing to see if it lives up to the hype. According to the manufacturer for the clothing tested, the CBD-infused clothes help “fight soreness and promote healing before activity even begins.” The company claimed friction and movement would release the CBD onto the skin where it would be absorbed. That much might be true, but it’s hard to say whether or not the CBD has any effect on the wearer.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any scientific evidence that CBD-infused clothing works as claimed. Some researchers even say applying small doses to curb all inflammation as it happens can actually prevent muscle tissue from repairing. Inflammation is uncomfortable, but it is part of the healing process.

So, the jury is out on CBD-infused clothing, but it’s an option if you’re interested in testing it out.

7. CBD-infused face mist

If you already have a face mist to keep your skin looking healthy and young, you may want to replace it with a CBD-infused face mist. That’s what Billy Porter did and now claims that his CBD face mist and serum is what keeps his skin glowing even at age 51.
