Thomas cook airlines are a part of Thomas Cook AG where Deutsche Lufthansa AG [50 percent] and Karstadt Quelle [50 percent] are the shareholders. It is one of the world's leading travel groups based in Manchester, England. The airline merged with MyTravel Airways, and in the present days operates short and long haul services to destinations in Mediterranean, East Asia and the Caribbean in 2008.
Thomas cook airlines operate services from nine other bases in the United Kingdom with an extensive network inside South, Central and North America and services to Madrid and Barcelona in Europe. The airlines has a network of more than 3,400 owned or franchised travels operated with a fleet of more than 90 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. It also carries passengers, cargo or mail on 20 seat aircraft as Thomas cook Airlines holds type A Operating license from United Kingdom civil aviation. Thomson cook airlines are tied up with 30 prominent tour operator brands. Airtours, Condor, Direct Holidays, Neckermann, and Sunquest are the prominent brands. It is engaged with about 3600 travel agencies, with a fleet of 86 aircraft operated by five airlines.
