 USA Theme Parks

Theme parks are a great source of fun and entertainment. During vacation time or on a long holiday people are seen to head towards theme parks for fun times with friends and family. Since theme parks are a great source of entrainment and a great tourist attraction, almost very country has at least one theme park.

Of all the theme parks, Walt Disney World Resort is the most famous. It is one theme park that attracts a huge audience from different regions of the world and the crowds just keep getting bigger every year.

Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort is the Theme Park is operated by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts segment of the Walt Disney Company. The resort began was built just a year after its visionary Walt Disney passed away. In October 1971, Walt Disney World Resort opened to the public and has been a hit with everyone since then till now.

This huge 47 square miles of theme park area is made up of four theme parks and two water parks. In addition, it also includes golf courses, shopping and dining complexes and resort hotels.

Here is a look at each of these theme parks:

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom theme parks were everyone wants to go. It got all of Disney's animated personalities and gives visitors a trip over several lands such as Fantasyland, Tomorrow land, Adventure land, and Frontier land. Top attractions here are Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Wishes Fireworks Show and Peter Pan's Flight.

Epcot

Epcot is a short form of Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and is a theme park based on the world of tomorrow. It was originally planned to be utopian city of the future and was later converted to a theme park displaying the latest in technological innovation. Important attractions here include Mission - SPACE centrifuge space flight simulator, Illuminations nighttime show, Test Track ride Soarin' motion simulator and the Seas with Nemo and Friends Ride.

Disney-MGM Studios

Disney-MGM Studios park wasopened in 1989 and it feature Hollywood at its best during the time of the 1930's and 1940's. It is also the smallest of the four theme parks. Attractions here include Twilight Zone, Tower of Terror Freefall Ride, Extreme Stunt Show, and the Magic of Disney Animation tour and presentation.

Disney Animal Kingdom

Disney Animal Kingdom is the largest of the four theme parks. What's unique about this park is that it is themed around animal conversation something that not been attempted in any other theme park as theme parks mostly focus on entertaining visitor and not information them about anything. Attractions here include Kali River Rapids raft ride, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Maharaja Jungle Trek exploration trail and Finding Nemo - The Musical stage show.

Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon water theme park is very interesting for it outdoor wave pool. The main attraction here is the "Miss Tilly," a shrimp boat that lies impaled on Mount Mayday. Chief attractions include uphill water coaster, wave pool, lazy river, snorkeling pool, tube slides and much more.

Blizzard Beach

This theme park is based on a freak snowstorm in the area. All the water attractions here are placed in an artificial hill named Mount Gushmore, which is divided into three colored slopes for the purpose of assisting visitors to move around the park. Lots of water attractions and thriller ride here to enjoy.

Golf courses in Walt Disney World Resort

They has amazing world-class golf courses, totaling six in number and all of them are together referred to as the 99 hole of golf. Five of these golf courses are 18-hole golf courses and these are the Magnolia, the Palm, Lake Buena Vista, Eagle Pines, and Osprey Ridge. The sixth one is a nine-hole walking course called Oak Trail in which young golfers mainly come for learning and practicing the game.

Other attractions in Walt Disney World Resort are Disney Boardwalk, Downtown Disney and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex
