History

In the year of 1985 SkyWest airlines started code sharing as a Western Express, feeder service for the Western Airlines at their Salt Lake City center, later acquired via Delta. In the year of 1995 it started operating flights for Continental beyond LAX. After two years, the affiliation was discontinued when it started flying for the United Airlines. And the SkyWest's United Express flights beyond DEN, SFO, and LAX became its leading operation through late 1990s. A corporation with Continental Airlines was revitalized in 2003 beyond IAH, and was stopped June 2005. On Monday, 15th August, 2005, Delta declared that it was advertising Atlantic Southeast Airlines to the recently integrated SkyWest, Inc. for $425 million in currency, and on Thursday, 8th September, 2005, SkyWest, Inc. declared that the achievement had been finished.

Through ASA and SkyWest Airlines, the corporation operates the biggest provincial airline in Unites States. The recent CEO and President of SkyWest Inc. is Chip Childs with Jerry Atkins as COO and acting president of SkyWest Airlines.
