How to reach Shimla

By Air

Shimla can be simply reached through air. It has its own airport Jubbarhatti which is situated at a space of 23kms away from the city center. Flights from Kullu, Chandigarh and New Delhi work on everyday. Jagson Airlines is a flight that works from these places on regular basis.

By Rail/ Train

Kalka is closest railway station from Shimla. It is situated at distance of 96 kms from Shimla. It takes approximately six hours to reach Shimla. The trip from Delhi to Kalka is an all night journey and reaches Kalka in morning. There are several tunnels en direction with longest being 1.2 kilometers long!

By Road

Shimla is attached with adjacent places like Chandigarh and New Delhi through general highways. The trip from Delhi to Shimla through road takes about 8 hours. There are several traveler buses that work from adjoining places to take visitors to this stunning hill station.
