The Prague Old Town exists from the 9th century. The Stare Mesto was laid for the settlements and now it is a big market along the bank of Vltava. King Vaclav I gave the merchants a chance to develop, that’s how the township became rich. This was how town Mesto Prazke was formed. The Prague Old Town had 13 gates, a massive moat and walls.
The weather in Prague is extreme which means that the summers and winters are extreme. The winters in Prague are very cold and it snows at times and the temperature during the day falls and becomes low in the night.
Summers in Prague are warm with lots of sunshine and occasional rains. It is quite sunny during spring and the wet months are May to August. September is a month when it starts getting cold and the temperature goes low in December, January and February. The annual temperature of Prague is between 5.5 degree C to 10 degree C.

There are many interesting things to see and do in Prague Old Town. A few things are listed below:-
The Powder Tower is 65 m tall and it is one of the 13 entrances to the Old Town. In the 17th century, the tower got its name and it is now open for tourists as it has a great view.
The Celetna Street is located at Prague Old Town square and is a pedestrianised lane. The lane is filled with many historical and architectural houses like, At the Black Sun, At the Three Kings, At the Vulture and At the White Lion.
The Muncipal House is Prague’s prominent Art Nouveau building. On 28 October, 1918 the Czechosolovakian Republic was proclaimed and a meeting between the communist regime and Civic Forum were held in November 1989.
The Church of St James is a 14th century monastery church. The church has been there for more than 400 years and the church is very popular for its acoustics.
