Porter Airlines History
- Toronto City Centre Airport', or 'Island Airport', operated by the Toronto Port Authority (TPA) was losing $1 million per year. Only Air Canada operating flights from the airport through its "Jazz" service, daily flights to Ottawa after closing the 'City Express' regional airline.
- Porter airline's maiden flight started on October 23, 2006 to Ottawa.
- In January 2009, the Toronto Port Authority(TPA) declared that they are ready to purchase a new, larger passenger ferry to help Porter's operation and to improve fee and to be charged to passengers.
