Norway, officially the Kingdom of Norway is located in the western part of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Mountains, glaciers, moors, and rivers cover 70% of Norway. Sweden, Finland and Russia are the bordering countries. Norway is a constitutional monarchy. Oslo is the capital and largest city of the country. Norwegian is the official language. Norway spreads over an area of 385,252 square kilometres and hosts 4,978,600 people.

Major rivers of Norway include Glomma, Pasvikelva, Ivalojoki, Numedalslågen, Gudbrandsdalslågen and Vorma, Tanaelva, Drammensvassdraget, Skiensvassdraget, Begna, Otra, Trysilelva, Altaelva,Namsen, Hallingdalselva, Snarumselva, Arendalsvassdraget, Orklaelva, Renaelva, Vefsna, Nea-Nidelvvassdraget, Karasjohka and Gaula. Glomma is the major river of Norway. It is 598 km long.
Breheimen, Dovrefjell, Filefjell, Hallingskarvet, Hardangervidda, Hurrungane, Jotunheimen, Lyngen Alps, Norefjell, Okstindan, Romsdalsalpene, Rondane National Park, Saltfjellet, Scandinavian Mountains, Setesdalsheiene, Smiubelgen, Sunnmørsalpene, Sylan, De syv søstre, Tafjordfjella, Trollheimen and Vegglifjell mountains are the mountain ranges of Norway. Norway's highest point is Galdhø Peak which is at 8,100 ft.
Norway is home to 2 islands- Jan Mayen and Kvaløya.

The Finnmark plateau, spreads over an area of 22,000 square kilometres, is Norway's largest plateau.
