Eureka Springs is named as one of the “Dozen Distinctive Destinations” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This city is also known as one of the state’s most eccentric towns. The downtown is filled with art galleries, large number of bars, restaurants, and unusual shops. They feature live music. In Eureka Springs jazz and blues are very popular genre of music. Jazz, blues and bluegrass festivals and live music events are also organized here. One of the most popular plays, the Great Passion Play is performed in outdoors in Eureka Springs. This play depicts Jesus Christ’s last days on earth. It is so popular that it is the most attended outside drama in United States.
