Netherlands is a highly developed country located in the northwest Europe. Bordered by North Sea to the north and west, Germany to the east and by Belgium to the south, Netherlands is also a hub of many multinational companies such as ABN Amro Bank, ING Group, to name a few.
Netherlands is made up of five small islands, which are divided into groups such as Leeward Islands group and the Windward Islands group. Leeward Islands are further divided into Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten. And Windward Islands group includes Bonaire and Curacao. As per the 2011 estimates, Netherlands houses 16.6 million people.
The people of Netherlands are Dutch, who have basically migrants of Franks, Frisians and Saxons. The official language Dutch is spoken throughout Netherlands.
The climate of Netherlands varies little from one region to another with cool summers to pleasant winters. The overall annual average temperature is close to 10 degrees with a rainfall of 77 cm.
Netherlands has very rich vegetation with great varieties of plants like elm, pine, oak, linden, beech and so on. The country births a famous species of flower called Dutch Tulip, which can be found in the forests. Some other unusual flower species are daisies, buttercups, purple and so on.
Numerous species of birds can be found in Netherlands.
