Amtrak Tours in Montana
This train tour provides three different tours through the American Northwest together with the Empire Building, which goes through Northern Montana. From wolf point in eastern Montana to Libby in the Western part of the State. The major destination point of this train tour is Whitefish, ski resort near Flathead National forest. Some of the other stops are Shelby, East Glacier and Havre.
The Empire Builder
The passengers from East Chicago can board the train and ride as far West Seattle Washington, Oregon and Portland. They can also land in St. Paul Minnesota. This route falls on some segments of the Lewis trail and Clark across the American Northwest. This train tour runs for 46 hours daily it also includes a lounge, dining car, café, snack bars as well as baggage checked service. You can travel this tour safely and enjoy the views and scenery from the train. Since this train is smoke free you can relax well and enjoy a lot.

Big Mountain Ski Resort
This resort is a 3000-acre resort located in Whitefish. The passengers of Empire Builder can reach to Big Mountain Ski Resort with a round-trip ticket or one-way ticket or by transferring the special touring route from another train line. Passengers can also book special ski vacation packages through some agencies like RMA tours in Denver, Colorado, Flathead travel in Kalispell Montana. In addition to train fare packages, it includes Ski lift tickets, rental accommodation.
Trails and Rails
This service is a partnership between National Park Service and Amtrak, which provides educational enrichment experiences for passengers. In summer and spring the National park Service rangers ride aboard the Empire Builder, to share some of the Historic information with passengers.
Missoula International Airport
This airport is 65 miles away from Polson, Montana. The approximate drive time is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Glacier Park International Airport
The home of Glacier Park International is Kalispell and it is about one hour drive from Polson. This airport has five airlines which provide service to Las Vegas, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago and Salt Lake City. This airport also has bistro, grill and a gift shop.
