Monarch Airlines History

Monarch Airlines Limited or simply Monarch airlines are a British charter and operates as a scheduled airlines company founded in 1967 in the United Kingdom. The Monarch airline is headquartered and based at London Luton Airport in Luton. The Monarch airlines facilitates scheduled services, charter services, aircraft maintenance engineering, aircraft leasing, technical support, and cargo services and supplies airliners to the tour operating industry as well. Monarch Airlines has a fleet of 23 modern aircrafts with Boeing and Airbus aircraft and just about 1,900 staff of various caters at main airports all across the United Kingdom.

The airlines is tied up with prominent tour operators and carries over 5 million passengers annually. Skilled and expert personnel are recruited in IT, accountancy, maintenance engineers, customer services and staff to deliver superior quality services to the customers at very low-fares.

The London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Birmingham are some of the major hub the airlines maintains and flies to 100 plus destinations. The Monarch airlines fly to Balearic and Canary Islands, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Portugal, and Spain from UK.

Monarch Airlines Baggage:

  • Excess baggage will earn a charge of £6 (GBP) / €7, 50 (EUR) per every extra kg.
