Mississippi is a state near the famous river Mississippi and the name is also derived from the same. Originally the name was taken from Native American word “Ojibwe” that means great river. Most of its border is covered with Mississippi river mainly on western side, and on the south it has a small coastline with Gulf of Mexico.
