Annapolis is an extremely interesting, friendly and exciting place to visit. It is one of the important cities in Maryland and it was the official capital of the United States of America for quite sometime. Annapolis is also a part of the Washington-Baltimore-Annapolis tri-fecta, the three most important cities in Maryland.
The biggest attraction in Annapolis is the Naval Academy. In fact this Naval Academy was also the source of inspiration for a movie named Annapolis. This Naval Academy is considered to be one of the best in the world but the best in America is located along the Severn River.
The architecture and the essence of the city lets a person walking along the streets believe that he has stepped back in time. The city is quaint and beautiful with a great harbor. The harbor is extremely crowded with excited audience during one of the many boat shows held in Annapolis.
Sailing is another activity which one can enjoy in Annapolis. The City Dock set at the heart of the city is one such location wherein a lot of boat shows are held and also a place from where one can take off with a sailing boat. Many of the local restaurants in Annapolis near the shore line offer exotic seafood along with some equally good local brew.
