Kenya Airways History

Kenya Airways is a flag carrier of Kenya. It is based on Embakasi, Nairobi. Kenya Airways began its operations on 4 February 1977. it works planned services all through Asia, Europe and Africa comprised India with its main base at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Kenya Airways launched in February 1977, after the fragment of East African Community and consequent termination of East African Airways and was completely owned through Kenyan govt until April 1996.

  • On 5th may 2007 Kenya Airways Flight 507, Boeing 737-800, collided 5.4 kilometers southeast of the Douala International Airport in mangrove marsh, after taking off for Nairobi. The airplane was hauling 105 travelers from 26 countries and 9 team members. All corroded in the incident.
