Acknowledged as the third largest island within the European continent, Ireland or the Republic of Ireland is placed in the region of Far North-West of Europe lying in the center of North Atlantic Ocean and the Irish Sea towards the eastern front. Ireland is separated from the Great Britain through the Saint George’s Channel that overtakes southeastern region, along with the North Channel shortly before the northeastern front.

Ireland is encircled by Donegal Bay, Galway Bay, Irish Sea and Celtic Sea. It is located 53 degrees north and 8 degrees west. Ireland stretches to cover an area of about 1,390 sq km. Ireland is made up of Donegal, Monaghan, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Carlow, Roscommon, Westmeath, Galway, L aois, Cavan, Louth, Kildare, Dublin, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare, Wexford, Offaly, Longford, Cork, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Kerry and Meath. Republic of Ireland being a part of the European Union, both England and the rest of the Countries with European union have a free movement of Goods, People and Services. England and Ireland share a common border and both are a part of the Common Travel Area.

Ireland has fewer speices of animals, of which 26 belong to Ireland and the rest are migrated from other parts of Europe. There are 400 different species of birds that come over to Ireland in some part of the season. The birds are mostly from Africa, Greenland and Iceland.

People of Ireland

The people of Ireland are Catholic, Anglican, and Presbyterian. The minority religions that live here are Methodists, along with Baptists, Brethren and Quakers. Ireland is occupied by Catholics at the most covering 75% of the island. Two languages are spoken in Ireland one is Irish and English. Even though Irish is a Minority, but an official language of the Republic of Ireland and has ancient literature written in Irish.

The winters in Ireland are cloudy with infrequent sun and rain. The temperature reaches 5 degrees during the day and falls below the freezing point in night. The summers in Ireland are cloudy with infrequent drizzle and thunderstorm.

Flora in Ireland is filled with open timberland, reasonable and average forestland, coniferous trees, and other coastal areas.

Ireland houses fauna such as red fox, hedgehog, stoat, badger, Irish hare, red deer and pine marten besides rabbits and brown rats. Almost 400 species of birds province in Ireland along with arctic birds.
