This vast park area lies in the western foothills of the stretch of Pocono Mountains. It has more than 30 mile long hiking trails, placid lakes and many streams running through it .The amazing Boulder Field in this park is the remnant of an old glacier that moved through this part of the park. You can watch the live black bear in the Hickory state park and also see a lot of other animals and birds; but be careful to keep a distance from these wild bears as they can get aggressive. Camp a day or two at the Hickory Run State park to enjoy the place completely.
This lake is the most loved fishing and boating spot in the Pocono Mountain. Hike through the Pocono Mountains to the town of Bushkill to have a glimpse the breath taking view of some of the states beautiful waterfalls. The Main fall is the biggest fall in the state and the Dingmans fall, the second largest waterfall is found in the Dingmans' ferry. You can climb to the top of the waterfalls by a 240 steps long stairs and enjoy the enchanting view from the top. Lehigh Gorge State Park in White Haven has many hidden waterfalls and you can reach it following the hike trails through the flower covered wild slopes.
