Florence Old Town

Florence Old Town Cityscape is the capital of the Italian region of Tuscany. It lies on the bank of river Arno. It is well renowned for its history and its important part played in Renaissance for art and architecture. In the 3rd Century Florence was established as the centre for Trading by the Romans after they defeated the Etruscans. After this the prosperity and peace of Florence was lost due to the Barbarian attack from the northern Europeans and for 1400 years it was considered as a lost city. It was finally in the 19th century the city was re-established and taken up as the capital of Italy temporarily.

While travelling through Florence you will experience some of the most beautiful road of all Italy that passes through various vineyards and woodlands. It has been known in the history that Florence was the first city of Italy that had paved streets. The famous Florence Nightingale well known for revolutionising the world in the field of nursing was named for the city of her birth.

Most of the time it is raining in Florence therefore people does not wish to take a trip in the city. It is said that the best season to visit is during spring but it is too warm at that time but not hot. It is during March and April that you will find the city to be a bit bust and cooler therefore the best time to be in the city to enjoy your trip. In summers the temperature gets too high. In autumn also the weather is lovely in Florence and thus it will be a very good season for you to be there especially if you like food and vine. During the winter there is enough cold and rain offered by Florence therefore it is suggested not to be there at that time.
