EgyptAir History

Egypt Air is a flag carrier airline of Arab Republic of Egypt and an associate of Star Alliance. It is standed at the Cairo International Airport, its main center, operating planned passenger and goods services to in excess of 70 destinations in Africa, Middle East, Americas Asia, and Europe. A wide-ranging set-up of home services is centered on Cairo, capital of Egypt.

Egypt Air is considered one of Africa’s biggest airlines. It joined star alliance on 11th July 2008. Egypt air has its head offices in Egypt Air Administerial Complex in Cairo.

Egypt Air Operations

Egypt air is a nationalized company with particular legislation allowing the organization to work as if the corporation were confidentially owned devoid of any intrusion from the govt. the corporation is self-financing devoid of any fiscal backing through the Egyptian govt.

Egypt Air completely owns Air Sinai and Egypt Air Express. It has pledged in Smart Aviation Company (20%) and Air Cairo (60%). In June 2007, Egypt Air Corporation had 20,734 workers of which 7,600 labored in Egypt Air Airlines.

Egypt airline established a provincial subsidiary named Egypt Air Express with the fleet of new-fangled Embraer E-170 jet. And the carrier connects Cairo with Marsa Alam, Aswan, Luxor, Hurghada, Alexandria, Abu Simbel and Sharm El-Sheikh besides secondary provincial destinations to set off the parent corporation's prototype of service.

In the year of 2007, airline joined with 'Egyptian Holding Company for Airports & Air Navigation' and Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation to shape a new commercial airline, Smart Aviation Company, based at Cairo Airport.

In the month of March 2010, it will launch its biggest aircraft, Boeing 777-300ER, with seat capability of 346. The airline will be prepared with a new aboard product and leading business cabin so far. Primarily it will work the airline on London Heathrow from 15th March 2010 and Tokyo Narita from 2nd May 2010 as a fleet of airline develops. Airline will acquire another new airline type, Airbus A330-300, in August 2010 which will be applied on European and Middle Eastern services.

The carrier is a beginning member of Arab Air Carriers Organization and Arabesk Airline Alliance.
