Delaware Destinations
Delaware is a small state which is located in at the Atlantic Coast. It is situated in the Northeastern portion of the United States of America. The state is a very small place secluded from the busy life of the main cities which are surrounding the state. The state is as small as 96 miles long and is hardly 9- 35 miles across. There is no main city which in this state except 3 major towns. Philadelphia, Rehoboth and Wilmington are the main cities which are in Delaware. There are not many tourist attractions in Delaware and the people who live in this place are not completely natives of this place.
Destinations in Delaware
Delaware has not many destinations which are there which a tourist can go to. The place is very morbid and not very active as the other states of America. As the state is very small, many of the locals work in the nearby big towns which have big companies. Cities like Washington D.C, Baltimore, New York etc. take the majority of the population of the state out of it in the day time. Even for entertainment there the locals tend to go to the neighboring big cities. Some of the cities which offer some kind of breather to the locals or the tourists are described below.
Philadelphia
The popular and trendy streets of Philadelphia are going to make feel enchanted. The city is small and yet it is one of the best places you can be to spend a quite vacation from your office. It is the host to the state’s largest museum. Some of the most interesting destinations which you can go to in Philadelphia are Fairmount Park, the Philadelphia Zoo and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You can also visit the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra.
Rehoboth
The only beach city which you can afford to go to is the Rehoboth beach. It is called as the ‘Nations Summer Capital’. There are a large numbers of Washington D.C. residents that come for vacation here annually. This is one of the most popular vacation sites on the eastern coast. Shopping is done in large scale in this area. There are many sporting events (mostly water sports) which you can participate when you are down there for a vacation. It is also known as the Quite Resort for its peaceful atmosphere and clam climate. You can also go to the Delaware Seashore Park. Rehoboth is one of the most popular Delaware Destinations. There are also many beach resorts which stretch along the Delaware shore. You can choose one of them so that you can have a peaceful stay with a lovely view at the beach.

Wilmington
With 72,000 population, it is the largest city in the state. The city is also considered to be the ‘Corporate Capital of the World’. It is designated to be the home of more than half of the Fortune 500 companies. Apparently it is one of the richest cities in the country. Zoo Park, Opera, History Center are all a part of the city’s attractions. At the Delaware Art Museum, you can witness all types of art collections which can be found in this museum. It is in the middle of Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
