Air Comet History
Air Comet Detail
Air Comet had its base in Madrid, Spain. It was formerly known as Air Plus Comet. It operated planned long-hauled services from Madrid to 13 goals in South and Central America, with services in Europe. Its significant base is Madrid Barajas International Airport, Terminal 1. It operates together with popular airlines such as AeroSur and Air Europe in various code share conformities.
Air Comet History
The airline was originated in the year of December 1996 as the Air plus Comet and began process in March 1997. Mainly it operated long-haul charter services from Palma de Mallorca and Madrid to purposes in Caribbean and America. Under Air Comet name in January 2007, it started as a complete service carrier. It is completed owned through Grupo Marsans.
In January 2007, Air Comet captured some of obsolete Air Madrid airline's Latin American ways. It established passengers left locked (those who had previously flown a part of their ticket) for a flat fee of 200 USD.
On 25th May 2007, to focus on the expansion in Latin American and European markets, Air Comet cancelled its flights to United States.
Grupo Marsans purchased 4 Airbus A380's, all of which will leave to Air Comet. As a result, Air Comet will be primary Spanish airline which will work A380 in May 2011.
Finally in August 2008, the primary of seventeen totally new Airbus A330 will be included into fleet which will wrap long-haul services to Buenos Aires, Bogota, Lima with to Guayaquil and Quito. The airline is in complete procedure of growth and will include new airplane in addition to expand their goal network particularly in Colombia Cartagena, Venezuela Maturin and America.
In September 2008 Air Comet poised provisionally two of its ways San José de Costa Rica and Santiago de Chile, to be equal to elevate the occurrences in other ways until all new planes turn up.
On 11th February 2009, Air Comet has been poised from IATA Clearing House owing to evasion of January stability.

As of 19 February 2009, Air Comet fleet's standard age is 12.2 years.
On 7 January 2007, Grupo Marsans who manages Air Comet, orders 12 A330-200, of which all will delivered to Air Comet in 2008-2009.
On 12 October 2007, Grupo Marsans created a beginning order for 61 diverse Airbus airplane containing 5 additional A330, 42 A320 families (12 A319, 25 A320, 5 A321), 10 A350 and 4 A380, of which part (including 2 A380) will leave to Air Comet.
On 17 December 2007, Grupo Marsans adjoins 2 more choices for A380 model. All A380 will be transported with 620 seats arrangement (12 first, 66 businesses and 542 tourists).
