Air Canada Jazz History

  • In 2001 Air Canada Jazz was founded by the combination of Air BC, Air Nova, Air Ontario and Canadian Regional Airlines.
  • In Feb 2006 Air Canada Jazz launched IPO.
  • In August Air Canada Jazz removed all life Jacket from their aircrafts to lower fuel cost.

Air Canada Jazz is local Canadian airline based at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Enfield and Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. It has its main base at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Air Canada Jazz has its major hubs located at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, and Calgary International Airport.

This airlines is wholly owned subsidiary of Chorus Aviation and it is Canada's one of the largest regional air carrier, operating in the name of Air Canada Express.

Air Canada Jazz facilitates services to 82 destinations with 138 aircraft fleet to Canada and the United States as a whole. In accordance with the Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA), Air Canada locates and purchases all the Jazz networking routes, flight schedules and Jazz’s seat capacity at predetermined rates. Air Canada Jazz airline was modernized and transformed its name to Chorus Aviation on 15 November 2010.

Finally, in April 2011, Air Canada has resolute to be superannuated the Air Canada Jazz brand and has created a new distinctiveness for its regional operations with Air Canada Express.
