YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES
Youth Olympic Games - Introduction:
The International Olympic Committee President, Mr. Jacques Rogge is proposed to conduct Youth Olympic Games. Youth Olympic Games are an international Multi-sport Event. The ages of participants are in between 14 to 18. The International Olympic Committee will conduct both Youth and Winter Youth Olympic Games. The first Youth Youth Olympic Games will be held 0n 2010 in Singapore.
Facilities in hosted cities:
The hosted city must not to construct any major venues. The hosted city will build temporary arrangements if necessary in an Olympic Village. The hosted city must be conducted all types of competitions. The host city will arrange 2500-seat facilitated Stadium with 10000 spectators. The Stadium also contains aquatic facilities. The main components of the Youth Olympics are both education and culture. The Youth Olympic Games theme is "Learning to know, learning to be, learning to do, and learning to live together."
Youth Olympic Games – 2010:
Above 170 nations will be participated in 2010 Youth Olympic Games. The participants divided into two age groups as 14-15 and 16-18.
Youth Olympic Games – Expenditure:
The estimated amount of Youth Youth Olympics is 30 million dollars and Winter Youth Olympics is 15-20 million dollars. The International Olympic Committee will be spent boarding and lodging charges for the competitors.
Youth Olympic Games into Professional Olympic Games:
The International Olympic Committee is proposed to conduct upto 26 sports with limited members and limited events. Both Baseball and Softball sports are excluded in the sports list. National flags and hymns are not in used for the medal ceremonies. Only Olympic Flag and Olympic hymn will be noticed in Youth Olympic Games.
