Introduction of Winter Olympics:
In 1924, the Winter Olympic Games is begun at Chamonix, France. The Winter Olympic Games are conducted the International Olympic Committee for every four years. Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals are prized for the competitors for the places of First, Second and Third respectively.
Qualifications for Winter Olympics:
Very few nations are contributed in Winter Olympic Games. The Winter Olympic Games will be held on every four years. The 1940 and 1944 Winter Olympic Games are cancelled due to World War II. Both Winter and Summer Olympic Games restarted in 1948. Winter Olympic Games separated with Summer Olympic Games on 1994. History of Winter Olympics:
- In 1992, Winter Olympic Games are included with Summer Olympics and held in Stockholm.

On 4th July 2007, the International Olympic Committee announced that the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia. Sochi is the first subtropical weathered city to conduct the Winter Games. Sochi is situated at the Black Sea shore.
