The Wimbledon Tennis tournament has been set to last from June 24, 2013 to July 7, 2013. The organizers are now offering 22.6 million pounds this year to the players – this is the bigger prize money than that offered last year. The increase is expected to benefit players who exit the tournament early the most, rather than just the winners of the Finals.

Serena Williams is a favorite to top Wimbledon Tennis of 2013 since she won the tournament in 2002, 2003, 2009 and 2010 for the singles’ Finals and 2000, 2002, 2008 and 2009 for the doubles’ Finals. For the men’s category, you can expect Novak Djokovic to give a good fight to reach the finals after dominating Wimbledon in 2006 for the doubles category and 2011 for the singles’ category.

In 2012, Roger Federer topped the men’s singles Finals while Serena Williams snared the women’s singles Finals to become champions for their respective categories. For the men’s doubles tournament, Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen were recognized as the winners while in the women’s doubles category sisters Serena and Venus Williams topped the tournament. Other categories to watch out for are mixed doubles, boys’ singles, girls’ singles, boys’ doubles and girls’ doubles, among others.
