Officially the Tunisia is known as the Tunisian Republic. Tunisia is situated in North Africa. The country is bordered in southeast by Libya and in west by Algeria. Tunisia is the northernmost country of Africa and is also the smallest country which is located along range of the Atlas Mountain. Tunisia History

At starting of the recorded history, Tunisia was populated by the Berber tribes. The coast of the country was established by the Phoenicians beginning as early in the 10th century BC. The Carthage city was encountered by the Tyre in 9th century BC which is now in contemporary days known as Lebanon. The legends also say that the city was founded by Queen Alyssa in 814 BC.
