The World Special Olympics Summer Games opening Ceremony will be held on Sunday 25th July 2015 in the site of 1932 and 1984 Olympic games in the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The President of America Barack Obama and the first lady Michelle Obama will be the Honorary Chair of the Games. The games are aired for the first time by ESPN in both English as well as Spanish. The Opening ceremony begins with exciting entertainment with world class performers, the Parade of Athletes from the participating countries, finally the Law Enforcement Torch Run and lighting of the Special Olympic cauldron. The event collides with 80,000 spectators for the opening ceremony of Special Olympics World Summer Games 2015. The opening ceremony would welcome 7,000 Special Olympic athletes from 177 countries along with 3,000 coaches and 30,000 volunteers. The opening ceremony will be joined by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and California Governor Jerry Brown serving as the Honorary hosts.
The Flame of hope will be lit from the rays of sun from Greece, were the event just ended in the year 2011 and called as the home of Olympics. The flame would travel across sea from Greece to USA with officers and athletes will run the flame through states of USA, finally to South California, ending at the opening ceremony.

Special Olympics 2011 is being held in Athens this summer. The Olympics which is dedicated to the privileged people is founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver. This year’s summer games are going to be kick started in June. The host for this year’s special summer Olympics is Athens which is considered to be the birth place of Olympics. The opening and closing ceremonies preparation has started way long back and the art director of both the ceremonies is Fokas Evangelinos. The place is going to be filled with lights and lasers which will enchant the spectators and encourage the participants.
The event which is as big as Olympics is a very important one as the participants are intellectually challenged but have the pride for their country in their heart. The true heart for participation will be seen in this contest. There will be true competition and the real heart to win. The event is going to be the hub for 7,500 athletes and 185 countries.
For an event like this the opening ceremony plays a vital role in inspiring and pumping up the participants in performing to the best of their abilities. The responsibility of organizing the show is given to Fokas Evangelinos. He and his creative team are have already set up the sign board which reads ‘Men at Work’. Fokas creative team consists of Stefanos Korkolis who is the composer, Elli Papageorgakopoulu who is the costume designer, Elias Ledakis is the production designer and finally Theodre Grigoriadis is the copywriter. This team was the same team who are known to have created enchanting effects for the 2004 Olympic Games. Simon Graveling and Andrew Walsh are the most experienced veterans who have been instrumental in making the 2004 show a huge success.
Fokas team is a mix of contemporary and experience. They also have the ability to have an international impact in this particular field. They have truck loads of experience and they offer the best professional services available in the market. They are known to organize the mega events in the larger than life style.
Elias Ledakis has over 17 years of experience in art direction and he has designed more than a 100 art sets on big stages over his career. He has experience in all kinds of platforms and domains. He has done sets for TV, Movies, theaters, live shows etc.
Elli Papageorgakopoulu has been in the theater world since 1996. She has designed costumes to Opera in Italy and many other theater groups in England. In 2004 she designed the costumes for Closing Ceremony of Olympic Games.
Simon Graveling has already got loads of experience in designing for the Olympic Games in 2004. He is glad to come back to the same venue to do yet another stint with the Special Olympics.
