Special Olympics World Summer Games Closing Ceremony 2015

The Closing Ceremony of the World Special Olympics Summer Games 2015 will be held on August 2nd, 2015 with a weeklong competition from 25th July 2015 and will be held in the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The final event before closing the ceremony would organize the final festive of the games to honor and pay tribute to participants, families, coaches, supports and Volunteers, who have reached down to make the event more successful, motivate and inspirational. The closing ceremony will organize world class entertainers and celebrity icons at the event celebrations.

The Special Olympics Closing ceremony 2011 will be held in Athens, Greece. The opening ceremony is on June 25th and the closing ceremony will be on July 4th 2011 in Athens. It is believed by every individual that it is the only game in the world where the participant athletes are the true winners.

The Special Olympics World Games 2011 is something that everyone has been waiting for. The events speak of the national pride of every individual. It is a great honor to the host country to hold such a remarkable event for disabled people.

A total of 7,500 Special Olympics Athletes will be participating who head from 185 nations.  They will compete in 22 Olympics sports in the Kallimarmaron Panathinaikon Stadium. The Special Olympics World Games 2011 closing ceremony will be in Kallimarmaron Panathinaikon Stadium on July 4th 2011. This is the place where the whole world will be cheering out loud.

This is also a very special time when the Special Olympics World games will be honoring a great woman who founded this movement in 1968. She was Eunice Kennedy Shriver, who believed that her dreams could take her very far.

The motto of the Special Olympics World Games 2011 is “Let me win! But if I cannot win let me be brave in the attempt”.

The award for the main concept of the Opening and Closing ceremonies was awarded to Fokas Evangelinos and his creative team. They won the open contest that was organized by the Organizing Committee for Special Olympics World Games Athens 2011.

There are a lot of people involved in this event. The creative team of Fokas Evangelinos includes IIlias Ledakis the production designer, Stefanos Korkolis the composer, Elli Papageorgakopoulou the costume designer and Theodore Grigoriadis the copyrighter.

Andrew Walsh and Simon Graveling are the production consultants for the Special Olympics World Games Athens 2011 Opening and Closing ceremonies. A team of experts have completely dedicated themselves for the preparation of this event.

Coaches, athletes, volunteers, officials and family members come together to witness this beautiful event as it kicks starts on June 25th 2011 and be there for the Special Olympics World Games 2011 Closing ceremony on July 4th, 2011.

The Greek Prime Minister also conveys his full support to the Special Olympics World Games 2011. There is about 262 days for the Special Olympics World Games 2011 games to start.

The touch of the Special Olympics World Games 2011 has been inspired from ancient Greece. As the games begin, the first torch was given to the President of the Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias by the Athens 2011 Organizing Committee President.

The torch is very special and is designed by Zolotas Jewelers in gold and charcoal. It is 45cm tall and weighs 1,450 grams. This torch will carry forward the flame of hope in the stadium at the Opening ceremony on June 25th 2011 and at the Special Olympics World Games 2011 closing ceremony.
