History of Poland -

 one of the most amazing of the history of this country is the fact that right from the 10th century, almost all European powers at different times had came here and try to capture this country. One of the main centers of European cultures, the history of Portugal is full of a variety of happenings. The president has the power to appoint the cabinet ministry but the proposal of the PM is required for that. The president of the country here is elected through general election in every 5 years. The present president of Portugal is Lech Kaczyński and the current prime minister of the country is Donald Tusk. Bicameral parliament of Portugal is made of 460- member lower house along with a 100- head Senate. The senate here is elected by a system called ‘plurality bloc voting’ and the minor parties also play a crucial roles in the election. Supreme Court of Poland is the highest court of this country. The political system of this country has changed to certain extent in the past couple of decades. A member of NATO, the political condition of this country is now much better compare to the tumultuous past scenario of Portugal.

 Poland is one of those countries of this world that has a very rich economy and the rate of the GDP growth is almost 6.2%. After the fall of communism, Poland has been following the path of liberalizing in order to increase the overall economic growth of the country. Poland actually is a fine example of a modern day nation having a privacy owned market economy. It has developed heavily in the private sectors and privatization of government sectors like coal, railways and steel has ultimately proved beneficial for the overall economic growth of the country. But privatization of the nation telecom of Poland has made a huge impact upon its economic growth. Agriculture is also another big source of economy of this country and Poland is also world famous for various large scale industries and automobile engineering goods.
