2016 Connecticut Open Tennis is played on outdoor hard courts as a part of professional tennis WTA Premier Tournament. The Connecticut Open is part of WTA Tour tournament and scheduled for a play before the last grand slam of the year which is U.S. Open takes place.

The Connecticut Open is scheduled for play on field in the month of August from 22nd to 28th with 8 players from top 20 are participating in the tournament. The 2016 Connecticut Open Tennis Tournament Schedule starts with qualify sessions on 22nd and 23rd of August. 2016 Connecticut Open TV Schedule is up on ESPN 3 and ESPN 2 with the telecast of Semifinals and finals of Connecticut Tennis Tournament on ESPN 2.

Connecticut Open is to organize Men’s Legendary event with play of top four best players of America all time. The players are John McEnroe, Andy Roddick, Jim Courier and James Blake which are scheduled to play on session 9 on 22nd August and session 11 on 29th August.

Connecticut Open Tennis History

The Connecticut Open Tennis 2016 ended the ATP World Tour 250 series from 2010 with its continuation towards WTA Tour as turnover from WTA Tier-II to WTA Premier. The Men’s ATP began in the year 1981 as a part of exhibition tournaments till 1989. The Men’s tournament was later moved to Winston- Salem Open in the year 2011 and turned it to be the women’s only tournament with the change in name to New Haven Open at Yale. The tournament has been renamed to Connecticut Open Tennis in the year 2014.
