Open GDF Suez Tennis, previously known as Open Gaz de France, is the biggest women’s professional tennis event held at Coubertin Stadium, Paris, France. Since its inception in 1993, the tournament is played on indoor hard courts. A part the WTA tour, the Open GDF Suez Tennis in 2014 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia was the singles champion and Germany Anna-Lena Grönefeld and Czech Republic Květa Peschke won the doubles title.

The tournament’s ringside seating arrangement makes the spectators feel as part of the game. Number of tennis stars had memorable victories at this event. However, the Open GDF Suez Tennis is more special for France’s own AmélieMauresmo as she holds most singles championship with 3 in 2001, 2006 and 2009.
