History of lithuania
Lithuania was occupied by USSR in the year 1940 but during both of the World Wars, the country remained independent. On the 11 March of 1990, the country declared its freedom and became the first Soviet republics which got independence. But till the September 1993, this proclamation was not recognized by Moscow. In 1993, the last of the Russian troop withdrew.
