India is a country which is situated in South Asia and officially is known as the Republic of India. Etymology of India:

The other name of the country is Bharat which is also of the similar status. The country is also known as the Hindustan which means the Land of the Hindus and traditionally referred to the northern India.

The former known traces of the human life in the country are the rock shelters of the Stone Age at Bhimbetka rock shelters in Madhya Pradesh. The first known recognized permanent settlements appeared near about the 9,000 years ago and is progressively developed in Indus Valley Civilization which dates back to 330 BCE in the western India.

The country has the main seat of learning from many years which dates back to ancient seats for the learning as the Nalanda. As India is a developing country, the struggle with challenges in primary education to reach at 100% literacy.
