The economy of the country is exposed to declining the stocks of the fish and drops in the entire world. Although the economy of the country is heavily based on the fishing, the importance of the fishing is declining as travel industry and other main industries of the technology and service are expanding. In the year 2003 the economy of the country expanded 4.3 % and in year 2006 it was expanded to 6.2%.

Education in Iceland:

The education system in the country is divided in 4 stages as the playschool, upper secondary, compulsory and higher. The education system in the country is similar as to the Scandinavian countries. The education in the country is compulsory for the children of 6- 16 years. There are many institutions that are funded by state. The country also includes some of the private schools. It is the country with the gymnasia. The Ministry of Education in country is responsible for the methods and policies that the schools should use and thus they issue the guidelines of the national Curriculum. Nevertheless the lower secondary schools, primary schools and the play schools are administered and funded by municipalities. In the year 1994 the recent legislation concerning playschools was passed.
