The prize money for the cricket World Cup 2015 has been announced by the International Cricket Council. The changes that were made by the ICC for the World Cup 2015 Price money would be a 20% hike in the price money for World Cup 2015 when compared to World Cup 2011.
The World Cup 2011 was hosted by Tri-nations India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from Asia continent with a total price money for the event $9.2 Million and World Cup winners received $3.6 Million with the runner ups as $1.7 Million. Due to increase in Price money for the World Cup 2015 which is going to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand with additional 20% add up to the existing price money for the year 2011. The World Cup 2015 winners would receive a total Price money of $4.3 Million or $4.6 Million if the team remains unbeaten in the tournament.
The runners in the final World Cup 2015 would receive a total price money of $2 Million. The two teams who were lost for the two finalist of the World Cup 2015 will be awarded a price money of $692,000 for each team.
The losing teams in the Quarter finals of the World Cup 2015 would receive a $346,000 for each team. The winners of the each group match will be awarded with $52,000 in the World Cup 2015.
The Teams that were eliminated in the First stage of the World Cup 2015 will be rewarded $40,000 for each team.
