Officially the Greece is known as the Hellenic Republic. Greece is a country which is in the southeastern Europe and is located on southern end of Balkan Peninsula. The country has the border with the Bulgaria, earlier Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Albania in the north and in the east to Turkey.

History:
The seashore of Aegean Sea saw emergence of first advanced civilizations in the Europe, the Mycenaean civilization on mainland and the Minoan civilization in Crete. The consequent mixture of the Hellenic and the Roman cultures took the form in establishments of Byzantine Empire around Constantinople in 330 AD, that remained the main military and the cultural power for coming 1,123 years, till in 1453 it falls in hands of Ottomans.

Culture:
The culture of the country evolved from many years, with starting of the Minoan and the Mycenaean Civilizations, which have continued most notably in to the Hellenistic period and the Classical Greece, as the influence of the Roman Empire and successor of the Greek Eastern by the Byzantine Empire. The Empire of the Ottoman has very important influence on the culture of the country.

The country operates the mixed economy which produced the GDP of the $305.595 billion in the year 2006. The chief economic activities of the country include the shipping and tourism industries, telecommunications, manufacturing, finance and banking and the construction. Greece also serves as the hub of the regional business for the several worlds’ biggest multinational companies.

Infrastructure:
The country is in the process for completing the huge programs of projects of the infrastructure with the EU support. As the output each and every level of the communication and transport is upgraded on profound scale. The telecom market and the liberalization of energy leads to the modernization of existing network and will also offer the latest chances for the development.
