Ghana is a country which is located in the West Africa. The country provides border in the east to Togo, in south to Gulf of Guinea, in north to the Burkina Faso and to the west by the Cote d’ Ivoire.

The name of the country is derived from the Ghana Empire of the West Africa. Actually the name of the Kingdom was Ouagadougou. The name of the country was the title of kings who had ruled the Empire. In 1240 AD it was under the control of the Sundiata, which was absorbed in the biggest Mali Empire.

Currently according to the estimates the country has 900 senior secondary schools, 6 public universities, 18,530 primary schools, 28 training colleges, 10 private universities, 4 diploma- awarding institutes, 8,850 junior schools, 6 public universities and the 20 technical institutions. All the teaching in the country is done in the official language of the country i.e. English.
