Equestrian is one of the popular sports played in Olympic events. This game refers to the skills and art of riding horses. Equestrian sports are categorized as one of the Horse Riding sports like Horseracing and Polo.
The objective of playing this game is completely professional in nature, and players play this game for making in Equestrian but this game is also played for the recreation purpose and for fun and leisure activity.
As horse riding is a very old mode of transport similarly this game too has a very old history. It is assumed that this sport is first played approx 5000 years back.
Though the evidence says that there was a game organized at that time in near Don River, even in war also horses are driven by military, so that all proves that Equestrian is a very old concept.
Horses are trained by professional trainers for doing activities. These horses are trained for racing, jumping, and specially trained for world class sport Polo, even ting, dressage, vaulting, and few other competitive sports.
If we speak about Equestrian activities at Olympics that we can say that this sport was first introduced in Olympics in year 1900 and then it again appeared in 1912.
But then after Equestrian sports activity has been divided in many other sports too. Three of the most common Equestrian sports appeared in Olympics are even ting Equestrian, Jumping Equestrian and Dressing Equestrian; this is also named as a 3 day Equestrian/ Event.
Equestrian sports are the only Sports event in Olympics in which animal and human are teammates. Though Equestrian is an old Olympic sport, but Dressage Equestrian was first introduced in 1996. It has having three levels.
The three day even ting sports is considered as the most popular Equestrian Event as it includes all the three levels Dressage, Jumping and cross country phase.
After sailing, Equestrian sports are considered as the only game in Olympics where men and women both compete against each other.
Apart from these events in Equestrian games there are few other common sports too that are considered as the part of Equestrian sports like Prix Caprilli, Stock Seat Equitation, Western Riding, Working Trails, Showmanship at Halter, Gymkhana Events, Team Relays, Drill sports, etc.
