2016 Australian Open Prize Fund

The  2016 Australian Open Tennis Prize Money has been increased by 10% when compared to previous 2015 Australian Open Prize money which was 40 million.

The current 2016 Australian Tennis Prize Money is set to a total of 44 million and makes it a grand exit for Lleyton Hewitt’s as he retires from the tennis. The significant rise in prize money puts Australia Open third in the list of grand slam prize money, above French Open total prize fund and US Open, Wimbeldon Open take the first & Second position. The Australian Open for the year 2017 will increase the prize money as compared to this year's fund.

Roger Federer is very close to clinch the $100 million total prize money received through his career if he wins the title at Australian Open 2016 and add's 18th title in Roger Federer career.

The Lleyton will feature in 20th year of Australian Grand Slam and who has been winner twice with the present ranking of 140 due to participation of less tournament in the year. The Lleyton Hewitt has been given a wild card entry to the Grand Slam and honour him as the preparation for the 20th and final tournament in the career of Lleyton takes place.
