World Psoriasis Day 2015

World Psoriasis Day 2015 theme is "Hope. Action. Change.", 2014 theme is "Building a better world for people with psoriasis" and 2013 theme is "Global access to treatment"

World Psoriasis Day is an annual celebration, dedicated to people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. This day was launched in 2004 as a combined effort by organizations and individuals from different parts of the world to work towards creating awareness for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

World Psoriasis Day is a truly global event, formed by people with psoriasis for people with psoriasis around the world. On World Psoriasis Day, awareness activities like campaigns, discussion and conferences will occur around the world to increase understanding about Psoriasis and providing platform to psoriasis communities to come together.

Aims

- To create awareness: to make every one aware about this devastating skin disease.

-To access to improve treatment: to encourage healthcare systems, governments and physicians to allow psoriasis people access to optimum therapy

-To increase understanding: to provide information to those who are suffering from this condition so that they can discuss it more freely and confidently.

-To build unity among the psoriasis community:  to raise awareness of a condition that need to be taken seriously by national and international authorities.

Who organized the event?

Every year on 29th October, the International Federation of Psoriasis Association (IFPA) and its members associations perform activities around the world to create awareness about psoriasis and give them the attention and consideration they deserve. Through IFPA, it becomes possible to spread the message on an international level and create awareness for both psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis. IFPA help psoriasis associations to campaign or raise voice on behalf of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis people.
IFPA members are psoriasis organizations from different countries, they meet regularly to discuss and to collaborate important issues affecting the psoriasis community of the world.
