November 13th is celebrated as the World Kindness Day. A day designated to realize the need for a more compassionate and kinder world.
World Kindness Movement is attributed to the origination of this celebration. Different groups, aiming for more kindness in the world, got together in a line of conferences between the years 1996 and 1997. On November 13, 1997, they made a ‘Declaration of Kindness’ and with that the World Kindness Day was born.
It is not like you having to be kind only on this day, but the World Kindness Day is a reminder of the need for more of your kindness in this world. We know that kindness and smile are contagious and they are not going to stop with you, not just with this day. A decision that you take this day and the very small step you put forth will create a chain reaction, creating an impact that you cannot even fathom.
People use this opportunity to show kindness to not just the fellow human beings but also the animals, birds and even plants.
Just look around or even within family, you will find many things to do on the World Kindness Day.
