World Fisheries Day is celebrated on 21st November every year around the world. This day aims to highlight the value of human life and the creatures living in water. It tries to highlight the problems related to fisheries like overfishing, bad way of fishing and unsustainable fishing methods. Apart from this it also attempts to address the pollution problems in ocean and coastal areas. On this special day the participating members discuss these problems and come up with several corrective measures which can be implemented.
