World Environment Day which is a world-famous event was founded by the UN General Assembly in 1972. Nearly, 100 nations around the globe celebrate this event. This event commemorates every year on June 5th.

Everyone must fight with weather change to protect flora and fauna and to strengthen their economies. Everyone should keep their effort to increase their economies and relations all over the world.
World Environment Day Celebrations:
The main theme of celebrating the World Environment Day is “Reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect flora and fauna, and save the Earth”.
All the People, government and non-government authorities, societies and young groups, commerce and trade, the media and other organizations will conduct many social activities to renovate their commitments to protect the environment and society.
World Environment Day Celebrations and Activities in 2010
The World Environment Day Celebrations will be held on Friday, June 5, 2010. Pittsburgh has been selected by UNEP as the host city for World Environment Day 2010 in North America.
In Pittsburgh, World Environment Day events taking place during the six weeks that “bridge the gap” between Earth Day on April 22 and World Environment Day on June 5.
World Environment Day Celebrations and Activities in 2009:
The World Environment Day Celebrations will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009.
The relevant organizations will conduct the environmental activities such as cleaning campaigns, tree plantation, rallies, bicycle parades, green shows, essay writing and photo exhibition competitions ins chools, and recycling processes on World Environment Day.
Mexico is one of the major partners of UNEP's Billion Tree Campaign. With the support of president and the public, Mexico will undertake the pledging and planting and an account of 1.5 % of greenhouse gas emissions, Mexico is showing its determination towards the climate change on several fronts.
Mexican President, Felipe Calderon stated that “The WED celebration will further underline Mexico's determination to manage natural resources and deal with the most demanding challenge of the 21st century – climate change.”
