When Is Tisha B'Av

Tisha B’Av is observed by many Jews all over the world. It is observed on the ninth day of the month of AV according to the Jewish calendar. The Tisha B'Av is considered to be a day of mourning so as to remember events like the destruction of the First and Second Temple of Jerusalem. 
 

What do People do on Tisha B'Av  

 
Jewish people observe many restrictions like fasting, avoiding certain type of work, avoiding   sexual activities, not wearing leather shoes, avoiding shaving, bathing, washing and wearing cosmetics. On Tisha B'Av, Jewish people also avoid laughing and smiling.
