Pentecost marks the end of Easter season and always falls on a Sunday. It is a festival which is also known as “WhitSunday”. Pentecost also marks the birth of the church.
What do people do on Pentecost
Though Pentecost is a big festival for all the Christians, it is observed in a quiet manner. The church is decorated with flowers and candles are lit. There is no grand celebration and a special service is held on this day. Like Christmas and Easter, the celebration for Pentecost has been ignored for a long time now. People observe silence for a few minutes during the special service.
