Kwanzaa is a weeklong festival celebrated by Africans. It is the beginning of the traditional African culture that started on December 26 in 1966 and ended on January 1st 1967. On Kwanzaa, people follow the seven principles (Nguzo Saba) which are: Unity (Umoja), Self-determination (Kujichagulia), Collective Work and Responsibility (Ujima), Cooperative Economics (Ujamaa), Purpose (Nia), Creativity (Kuumba), and Faith. All these seven principles are very important for every African who follows it.
