When Is Human Rights Day

When is Human Rights Day Celebrated?

Human Rights day is celebrated on 10th December 1948, to honor the United Nations General Assembly's acceptance and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first world-wide diction of Human Rights.

The formal institution of Human Rights Day took place at the 317th comprehensive assembling of the General Assembly on 4 December 1950, when the General Assembly declared resolution 423(V), receiving all member states and any other concerned organizations to observe the day. In the calendar of UN headquarters in New York City, United States, Human rights Day is a high point.
