When Is Anzac Day

What is ANZAC?

The members of the Australian and New Zealand Corps who fought in the World War I are honored on this day. On 25th April every year these members are honored. These corps fought at the Gallipoli in Turkey during the World War I. This day commemorates all those who have sacrificed their lives and served in the military for saving the respect of the countries.

Why is it Celebrated?

Anzac Day was established because it was the first ever military operation which was carried by Australia and New Zealand. The full form of ANZAC is Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. This is one of the rare occasions where two sovereign countries share the same day.
