The Senate Election of 2010 for New Hampshire is going to take place on the 2nd of November. During this time, other mid-term elections to the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives are also going to take place. Currently, the position is held by Judd Gregg from the Republican Party. He has confirmed that he will not seek re-election.

The candidates who are fighting for the seat are Paul Hodes from the Democratic Party, and former New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly Ayotte, capitalist Bill Binnie, Ovide Lamontagne, an attorney, and Jim Bender, a businessman from the Republican Party.

Paul Hodes, who is however the sole candidate from the Democratic party is lagging behind than his republican counterparts who are leading in the race, mainly, Kelly Ayotte and Bill Binnie.

The primary is going to be held on September 14th. Popular telephonic surveys reveal that Kelly Ayotte is having 49% support and is the fore-runner of the race.
