Tulsa May Festival 2016

The Tulsa May Fest is an international festival where visitors can expect to experience a lot of art and music. This event was set up to promote interest and appreciation for the arts.

What to Expect:

The Festival is held outdoors and has four stages for the performing artists, booths with arts and crafts and all kinds of great food. There is also a special area – KidZone – where children have many activities to choose from.

There are also 5 galleries – all indoor – where people can see exhibits by different artists. Artists present their work for viewing and for purchase – exhibits range from photography, sculptures in clay and wood, paintings etc. Admission to this 4 day festival is free.

Visitors to the Festival can also buy posters, souvenirs, T-shirts and art – in fact, even merchandise from the previous are available at discounted prices. Yummy treats like Pulled Pork, funnel cake and others can be had at food booths scattered around the venue.

The Festival has grown in popularity to attend this international festival. Brimming with opportunities for enjoying arts and free entertainment in downtown Tulsa, the May Fest has unique appeal and is like no other.

This is a great venue where local artists get a chance to get recognized for their work, especially Native American artists. Quite a few artists have gone on to become famous around the country.

The aim of the Festival is to raise environmental awareness – organizers encourage people to ride their bikes over and even offer bike valet parking services.

Check out the official website for more information on dates and a line up of all the artists – musical and otherwise.
